Mini Bee

Mini-Bee VTOL – Redefining Aerial Mobility for Humanitarian Missions
The Mini-Bee is an innovative hybrid aircraft designed to combine the best of drone and helicopter technologies into a compact, efficient, and versatile flying machine. Developed by Technoplane, this ultra-light Vertical Take-Off and Landing (VTOL) multicopter can carry two people—including a pilot—and is specifically built for missions where rapid deployment and minimal infrastructure are key.
Powered by a high-efficiency Rotax 916 engine combined with electric motors, the Mini-Bee offers a unique hybrid propulsion system that ensures extended range (up to 450 km), high cruise speeds (160 km/h), and excellent safety. With 60 small rotors and a lightweight composite structure, it delivers stable, reliable flight—even in challenging conditions.
Designed with humanitarian aid in mind, the Mini-Bee is easy to transport and assemble. It can be packed into three standard LD3 cargo containers and quickly reassembled on-site, making it ideal for emergency medical evacuations, disaster relief, and delivering vital supplies to remote or inaccessible areas.
The project is developed collaboratively under the Lesser Open Bee License, promoting open innovation between academic, industrial, and individual contributors. Whether you’re an engineer, researcher, or humanitarian worker, Mini-Bee represents the future of agile aerial support—safe, modular, and mission-ready.
